Quiet Trading Keeps Price Action Rangebound This Week

Other than the US Core PCE Price index number this Friday, this week promises to be quiet from fundamental analysis standpoint.

The charts in this article are H4 charts of a selection of major FX pairs. Each pair will also feature an H1 chart showing intraday support and resistance levels in more detail.

The targeted support and resistance levels are in the latest colored boxes on the respective charts.

Each pair would have to cross their respective colored zones to confirm any meaningful change or extension in trend.

EURUSD is trading sideways around the pivot at 1.1620 dollars. 1.1675 remains the resistance to beat and then 1.1710 dollars.

GBPUSD is still ranging around the pivot at 1.3800 dollars. The slope of the 60MA on the H4 chart is still up. Price will need to break the 1.3855 ceiling level and then 1.3900 to reverse the downtrend.

USDJPY is bouncing off 113.35 support and looking quiet aimless at the moment.

AUDUSD is still trying break the 75.15 cent ceiling in dull trading.

Gold is trying to negotiate the 1800 dollar pivot level. To confirm this uptrend, price would need to clear 1810 and then 1830 dollars.
